Livvy competed Xcel Gold for West Valley Gymnastics today at the State level. This is totally different then the JO, Junior Olympics level that she was competing at Airborne in CO. Still hard work but not at the intensity as JO. She started at WV in Sept after we settled into school for a week or two. It's been a great year, she's made some nice friends and has enjoyed working with her coach Justus tremendously. He's a very talented guy in several areas, we have never seen him perform but would like to one day. Not sure if he does anything active right now besides coaching.
Livvy's been thinking about resigning and made a decision on Friday that she would not continue. Her body is breaking down and it just doesn't feel great to her at all. From the ankles to the neck there is always something that hurts. Ugh, who doesn't but at 13. She went into today's meet psyched and ready to rock. We all went to support her in her final meet up in Loomis, CA. She also decided that she would not go to the Regional meet which is in Long Beach, CA.
She finished the State meet in 2nd place AA. Putting her on the CA state team at the Regional meet in May.
